Landscape: Lightning Bolt

Mother Nature continues to keep me on my toes. I'm always awestruck at the wonder of how much the elements can rear their heads and change what we are doing. Thompson has has been no different, getting some crazy weather this summer. Flash floods and storms- thunder and lightning that came so close to houses there were some untimely fires, as well as damage to homes and vehicles from trees falling and branches breaking. Not to mention the flooding that devastated a neighbourhood.

In the midst of one of the storms I managed to snap a shot of a lightning bolt coming down in my back yard. I guess that's what happens when my cat's running around the house meowing wildly, and the house is shaking from the force of the thunder keeping me from sleeping.
